Florence Day is a ghostwriter for a renowned romance novelist. Following a painful breakup, she's lost her faith in love, making it difficult to craft stories with joyful endings. Her new editor, Ben Andor, refuses to extend the deadline for the book she’s working on, prompting her to consider leaving her profession behind. Amidst this turmoil, Florence learns of her father's passing, compelling her to return to her hometown— a place she escaped a decade ago due to societal backlash against her mystical abilities. At the funeral home, she encounters a striking, bewildered ghost and soon realizes it's none other than her editor.
