Franciszek Longchamps de Brier, the author, is a law professor at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He completed his legal studies at the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Law and Administration, and holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is a Catholic priest who contributes as a bioethics expert for the Polish Episcopal Conference and serves on both the Scientific Committee on Ancient Culture and the Committee of Legal Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
