My First Book of Farm

The board book collection is crafted to captivate the interest of young readers, starting as early as 2.5 years old. This series aims to spark curiosity in children about various subjects such as nature, animals, and shapes, aiding them in categorizing their surroundings. The collection consists of ten small books. Two of them focus on teaching fundamentals like shapes and numbers. Another five are designed for exploration, offering a delightful journey through different environments including farm animals, wild animals, backyard insects, and vegetable gardens. The remaining three books are charming narratives that depict nature's miracles, such as the birth of a bird, a butterfly, and a flower. The storytelling aspect takes a backseat to the tactile and visual experiences, as these elements serve as the main avenues for understanding. A supportive character guides the young reader through each story to its conclusion, where an overview of all the characters met throughout the book is provided. Following the Montessori philosophy, children are encouraged to engage with their books independently. For instance, they might be prompted to trace a shape with their finger, noticing its properties like its roundness or sharp edges. In other scenarios, they may follow a path with their finger to uncover hidden figures and associate them with distinct traits, such as a lion’s tail, rabbit’s ears, or the vibrant colors of various vegetables.
