The theme of this Volume has been selected based on two primary factors. Firstly, the modern global economy is undergoing rapid transformations. Since the start of the 21st century, there has been an intense focus on economic activities worldwide, necessitating thorough investigation both theoretically and empirically. This study aims to find practical and advantageous solutions for individual economies as well as for international coalitions. The global financial crisis has permeated the real sectors, causing a variety of negative effects that require adaptive measures on a global scale, impacting both microeconomic and macroeconomic levels. There are significant uncertainties about the effectiveness of current economic models in providing solutions and navigating crisis situations. The second reason for addressing this topic is its broad scope, encompassing topics that are being explored to varying extents by scholars from all departments within the Faculty of International Business and Economics. The Volume contains contributions from various authors, organized into seven chapters that explore diverse aspects of the contemporary world economy, encompassing both microeconomic and macroeconomic perspectives, and bridging theoretical analysis with empirical research.
