Featuring around 550 images, such as architectural designs, studies, photos, sketches, and models, the book provides insight into not only completed works but also the core principles and figures of this idealistic community during its stays in Weimar, Dessau, and Berlin. The collection is laden with the vibrant colors, materials, and geometric forms that epitomized the Bauhaus approach, from candid photos of group activities to Paul Klee's directed sketches, detailed architectural designs to Marianne Brandt's elegantly fashioned ashtray.
