The translation of the Old and New Testaments by Bishop Kazimierz Romaniuk, a distinguished biblical scholar, stands out as a significant project executed over 30 years, faithfully rendering biblical texts from their original languages. Since the publication of what is commonly known as the Wujek Bible in 1599, no other individual has undertaken a complete translation of the Bible directly from the original languages. While the translation by Jakub Wujek is hailed as an outstanding example of early Polish scripture, Romaniuk's version remains true to the original text yet emphasizes clarity over literalism, making it more accessible for readers today. Additionally, the Bible features a Family Chronicle section, providing space to document personal and significant family events, enriching the book with a unique familial touch. It also includes 24 colorful illustrations of masterpieces by acclaimed artists such as Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raphael, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Rembrandt. Notably, there is a papal blessing with the handwritten signature of Pope John Paul II, conferred on March 19, 2005.
