Marek Sznajderman - sylwetka autora
Professor Marek Sznajderman was a distinguished Polish physician of Jewish heritage, hailing from Warsaw. His father, Ignacy Sznajderman, was a renowned neurologist in the city during the early 20th century. Tragically, during World War II, Professor Sznajderman found himself confined in the Warsaw Ghetto. Despite these challenges, he pursued a notable career as a specialist in internal medicine and served at the Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński Institute of Cardiology. Recognized for his contributions to the field, he was an honorary member of the Polish Society of Internal Medicine. Professor Sznajderman passed away shortly before reaching the age of 91.
He has several significant publications to his name. Among these are the collaborative "Polski słownik medyczny," published in 1981 by PWN and Państwowy Zakład Wydawnictw Lekarskich, and "Nowe leki," co-authored with J. Feely and W. Kostowski in 1995. His contributions also include two notable works on hypertension: "Jak żyć z nadciśnieniem tętniczym" and "Nadciśnienie tętnicze," both written with Włodzimierz Januszewicz and published by Państwowy Zakład Wydawnictw Lekarskich in 2002.
Professor Sznajderman was married to Małgorzata Ciświcka, with whom he had a daughter named Monika, born on November 19, 1959.
