Images Between Series and Stream

The catalyst for this work was the profound experience of engaging in scientific endeavors and communication during the COVID-19 pandemic, described metaphorically as engaging with the "poetics of disappearance" (p. 16). This experience resonates deeply with the author, akin to the shared sentiments of many today. Consequently, the book is poised to capture widespread interest, not just due to its relevant subject matter, but also because of the emotional connection readers are likely to develop with the perspectives shared by the contributors. The volume is a stimulating read that intertwines numerous insightful ideas to present a rich and multifaceted understanding of a phenomenon that has significantly shaped the everyday lives of a vast number of people globally. I am confident that students and academics within the humanities and social sciences will find it particularly engaging.
