Dutch artist Anton Corbijn's illustrated chronicle of Depeche Mode presents a captivating look into the band’s history and their significant collaboration with Corbijn. In November 2020, Depeche Mode joined the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. During the induction ceremony, Dave Gahan highlighted Corbijn's influence by remarking, “I’d like to thank Anton Corbijn who thank God came in at the right time and actually made us look cool.” Coinciding with this honor, TASCHEN published a limited edition of "Depeche Mode by Anton Corbijn (81–18)," signed by both the band and Corbijn, which quickly became one of the fastest-selling editions in the publisher’s history. Anton Corbijn, who took on the role of creative director for the band in 1986, was instrumental in solidifying Depeche Mode’s status as a leading cult band worldwide.
