Jaroszewski Tadeusz S. - sylwetka autora

Professor Tadeusz Stefan Jaroszewski was a distinguished Polish art historian, with a deep specialisation in Varsavian studies and a considerable academic career. Born in Warsaw into a family of the Protestant faith, his entire life was intricately linked with the city. An alumnus of the University of Warsaw, where he pursued art history, he became a noted expert in the field of Enlightenment architecture in Poland, with a particular focus on the architectural developments in Warsaw itself. His academic career saw him return to his alma mater as a lecturer, where he imparted his knowledge to numerous students. Jaroszewski was actively involved in academic communities, as evidenced by his membership in the Warsaw Scientific Society and his role as the president of the Association of Art Historians. Among his notable publications are "Dzieje Pałacu Kronenberga" published by PWN in 1972, "Księga Pałaców Warszawy" released by Wydawnictwo Interpress in 1985, and "Od klasycyzmu do nowoczesności. O architekturze polskiej XVIII, XIX i XX wieku," also by PWN in 1996.
