Carla Rueckert (1943–2015) gained worldwide recognition as a channeler of the Law of One material, also known as the RA Material. A trained librarian and Christian mystic, she formed a significant partnership with Don Elkins in 1968. Elkins, a physics professor and commercial airline pilot, joined Carla in a serious exploration of the UFO phenomenon. Their collaboration led to the creation of L/L Research, a non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky, which remains active today.

As the 1960s ended, Carla and Don's UFO investigations shifted when they encountered information allegedly acquired through telepathic contact with extraterrestrial entities. Their research transitioned from focusing on tangible UFO evidence, like eyewitness accounts and physical traces, to exploring the spiritual implications of these encounters. Unlike her other channeling work, communication with Ra required Carla to be in a deep trance state, allowing Ra to speak through her without interference, thereby enhancing the depth and impact of the messages about unity, love, and joy.
