The unexpected death of Qui-Gon Jinn at the hands of a Sith has left the Jedi, particularly Master Mace Windu, grappling with grief and confusion. In the midst of reflecting on Qui-Gon’s legacy, Mace is taken aback to receive a posthumous message from his old friend, which delivers a final request: assistance for the distant Outer Rim world of Metagos. Years earlier, a devastating solar flare transformed Metagos' surface into a perilous expanse of glistening irradiated glass, forcing most inhabitants to seek refuge underground. Here, various clans vie for control over the sparse resources. During his youth, Qui-Gon had defended the Sa’ad farming clan from more ruthless elements. This clan is known for their dream-weaving skills, allowing them to remain conscious during sleep to interact harmoniously with the planet’s wildlife. Qui-Gon had promised to return should they ever need him again, and now it’s Mace's responsibility to honor that promise. The Sa’ad’s leader, KinShan Nightbird, has urgently called on the Jedi for support against the crime lords who endanger her people’s existence and their distinctive way of life.Determined to respect Qui-Gon’s last wishes, Mace sets out for Metagos, aiming to undermine those who threaten the Sa’ad.
