Fifty years later, Jormag awakened, driving the norn from the icy realms of the Northern Shiverpeaks and corrupting family members in its wake. A generation afterward, Zhaitan emerged in a catastrophic event that reshaped the continent and inundated the capital of the human nation, Kryta.The inhabitants of Tyria find themselves at a pivotal moment in history. They are Eir, a norn huntress with an artist's spirit; Snaff, an asuran genius, accompanied by his determined assistant Zojja; Rytlock, a fierce charr warrior in exile; Caithe, a mysterious and lethal sylvari; and Logan, a courageous human guardian torn by conflicting loyalties.
