Etiquette for Lovers and Killers

In 1964, the small town of Eastport, Maine, serves as the uninspiring backdrop for Billy McCadie's uneventful life. Surrounded by formal gatherings featuring Jell-O salads and individuals who display more manners than common sense, Billy finds herself longing for the thrill and romance she enjoys in her favorite novels. Her monotonous life takes a turn when she discovers an engagement ring and an enigmatic love letter addressed to 'Gertrude.' This turns her world upside down, dragging her into a peculiar and unbelievable mystery that leaves the local police baffled. Despite lacking the innate charm of Nancy Drew or the genteel manners of Miss Marple, Billy is compelled to don her detective hat. As the number of victims increases and the threat creeps closer to her doorstep, she begins to wonder if she's more than just an observer in this story.
