Church Ministries In The First Century

This book delves into the roles within Church ministries, covering apostles, bishops, presbyters, deacons, prophets, and teachers. Although historical in nature, this topic remains relevant today due to the diverse ministries present in the modern Church. The subject of priesthood, in particular, has been a focal point of recent discussions. During the Synod of Amazonia, held from October 6 to 27, 2019, Pope Francis encouraged the Universal Church to engage in reflection and dialogue about Church ministries, with a special emphasis on the life and service of priests and presbyters. Consequently, these ministries are among the most pressing issues of our era.The Post-Synodal Letter, finalized on October 27, 2019, comprises 33 pages, 5 chapters, and 120 paragraphs. Pope Francis not only approved the document but also authorized its publication in multiple languages. The topic of priesthood and related Church ministries continued to be addressed within the framework of the Synodal Way, which Pope Francis inaugurated on October 9, 2021, in Rome. This publication serves as a modest contribution to the significant ongoing dialogue concerning Christian ministries.
