Father Hanna Skandar, a Maronite monk, serves as the leader of the Maronite Monastery of Our Lady of the Fort in Menjez, a Christian village in the Akkar region of Northern Lebanon. This monastery, known as “Deir Saydet El Qalaa,” has been transformed by him into a hub for spiritual retreats. Father Skandar has an academic background with a license in theology and a Doctorate in History, which he utilizes in his ongoing efforts to revitalize and conserve the cultural heritage of Christian villages in Northern Lebanon.

In addition to his ecclesiastical duties, Father Skandar is a dedicated writer. He has authored works about Saint Charbel, focusing on the saint's life and spiritual missions. His book "Charbeliat 7" stands as a comprehensive documented resource on Saint Charbel, offering extensive references, footnotes, and annotations to support those delving deeply into the saint's life and endeavors. Following its acclaim, he published a more accessible version of his work in 2009, titled "Charbeliat 11," furthering the reach of Saint Charbel’s inspiring story.
