Jerzy Radziwiłowicz - sylwetka autora
A distinguished Polish actor, born on September 8, 1950, in Warsaw, completed his studies at the Warsaw State Theatre Academy (PWST) in 1972. That same year, he joined the renowned Stary Teatr in Krakow, making his stage debut as Zagorski in M.F. Shatrov's "The Bolsheviks." He also served as a faculty member of the Krakow's PWST and held the position of prorector from 1981 to 1984. Since 1998, his career has been closely tied to Warsaw once again, where he is a member of the National Theatre. His most noteworthy stage performances occurred under the direction of K. Swinarski, including his portrayal of Tomasz Zan in A. Mickiewicz's "Dziady" (1973). In addition to his theater work, he is a celebrated film actor, gaining widespread acclaim for his roles in A. Wajda's films: as Mateusz Birkut in "Man of Marble" (1976) and Maciek Tomczyk in "Man of Iron" (1981).
