Jenny Valentine - sylwetka autora
Throughout her childhood, Jenny Valentine relocated every couple of years. Recently, she changed her home once again, likely not for the final time. For a span of fifteen years, she worked in a wholefood store in Primrose Hill, where she encountered a diverse array of remarkable individuals and sold an impressive number of organic loaves, perhaps more than the word count of her debut novel. Valentine's varied career also included roles as a teaching assistant and a jewellery maker. She pursued studies in English Literature at Goldsmiths College, an experience that nearly diminished her love for reading, but not entirely. Jenny is married to a singer-songwriter and is a mother of two.
In 2007, her debut novel, "Finding Violet Park," earned her the Guardian Prize for Children's Fiction. The following year, she released her second novel, "Broken Soup." By 2009, Jenny was selected to contribute to World Book Day, for which she wrote "Ten Stations," a short story featuring some characters from "Finding Violet Park." Her third novel for young adults, "The Ant Colony," was also published that year. In addition, she ventured into writing for younger audiences, releasing "Iggy and Me," a collection of short stories portraying the adventures of two sisters.
