In this exciting chapter of The Bad Batch, Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Omega embark on a mission to aid Pabu in its recovery. The seasoned soldier, Hunter, understands that life demands constant adaptation, whether in combat or everyday living. While evading the Empire, with Echo on a mission alongside Captain Rex and Crosshair remaining unchanged, Hunter relies heavily on his team—Tech, Wrecker, and Omega. Amidst their ongoing struggles, they stumble upon what seems to be a sanctuary: the island of Pabu. However, the island desperately needs resources to recover from a destructive sea wave. Phee Goena, who considers herself a treasure liberator, has a plan. She believes a few tasks will generate the funding required. Despite Hunter's reservations about Phee's risky strategies, the team opts to follow her lead.Complications arise swiftly when Phee’s droid compromises their anonymity at a high-stakes auction. They barely escape with the relic they were assigned to procure. Hunter prioritizes completing their first mission by delivering the relic before accepting further tasks, but Phee and the crew are eager to proceed with a second mission: transporting a couple in hiding, with the woman nearing childbirth. Hunter is concerned about the risks, particularly since their new passengers harbor secrets linked to an Imperial Security Bureau officer in hot pursuit. As Hunter attempts to navigate the crew to safety, away from the Empire's oversight, their overlapping tasks only bring more peril and disorder.
