Nevertheless, he remained unwavering in his admiration for Audrey Hepburn, originally Audrey Kathleen Ruston and later Edda van Heemstra Hepburn-Ruston. Willoughby was tasked with photographing the budding star soon after her 1953 arrival in Hollywood. Although initially an ordinary assignment for the celebrated photographer renowned for enhancing the art of photojournalistic movie stills, his encounter with the Belgian-born actress left a lasting impression.
