Professor Stanisław Kosiński was a distinguished Polish sociologist born in the region of Zamojszczyzna. He completed his education at the Higher School of Pedagogy in Kraków, where he studied history. Throughout his career, Professor Kosiński became an expert in various sociological fields, including medical sociology, general sociology, sociology of work, and sociology of organizations. For more than four decades, he served as a faculty member at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
His scholarly contributions are substantial, amounting to over 130 scientific and educational publications. Among these is the academic textbook "Socjologia ogólna," a key resource in the field. Kosiński was actively involved in professional organizations, being a member of the Polish Sociological Association and the Polish Society for Social Policy. He lived to be 83 years old.
It is important not to confuse him with Stanisław Rawicz Kosiński (1847-1923), who was a Galician engineer known for his work in railway construction.
