David Herbert Lawrence - sylwetka autora
A British writer, known for his novels, short stories, poetry, plays, essays, travel books, paintings, translations, literary criticism, and correspondences, pursued his studies at University College Nottingham. His work predominantly focuses on the dehumanizing effects of modernity and industrialization. Faced with censorship, he chose self-imposed exile from his homeland and openly challenged societal prudery. Celebrated for his exploration of erotica, he employed provocative language and is considered a master in describing emotional experiences, from the inception of a feeling to its physical culmination and spiritual unity. His novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover" is noted for being among the first in modern European literature to vividly depict a woman's sensations during intercourse and mutual climax. From July 13, 1914, until his passing, he was married to Frieda von Richthofen Weekley. His life was also linked with William Henry Hocking, Jessie Chambers, and Alice Dax.
