Bryan Mealer - sylwetka autora
An American journalist hailing from Odessa, Texas, pursued his education in journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. His career initially took shape at "Esquire" magazine, but he soon decided to resign and travel to Kenya. Between 2003 and 2007, he was based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the region formerly known as Zaire, where he reported for the Associated Press and wrote for "Harper's Magazine." His experiences there culminated in the publication of a book titled "All Things Must Fight to Live: Stories of War and Deliverance in Congo," which explores the challenges faced by the country, particularly its capital, Kinshasa.
In 2008, his interest turned to William Kamkwamba, a young inventor from central Malawi. He collaborated with Kamkwamba on the book "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope." This work quickly achieved bestseller status. By 2010, their collaboration was translated into Polish under the title "O chłopcu, który ujarzmił wiatr," published by Drzewo Babel.
