However, given the evolution of conflict, even the roles of the Russian General Staff and armed forces have transformed, a topic addressed within this publication.This book, the first in a two-part series, explores what is effectively a Third World War involving a clash between modern, cosmopolitan forces and traditional socio-economic entities. Although led by Vladimir Putin, the pivotal conflict zone lies within the United States. The first volume delves into the operational-strategic and operational-tactical aspects of Russian New Generation Warfare. The second volume will shift focus to military geography, analyzing its effects on operational strategies from the High North to the Baltic States, and from northeastern Poland to Romania. It will also investigate logistics challenges within the European Theater of Strategic Military Action and the intricacies of movement across the three strategic directions within this zone.
