Living a life of deceit often means steering clear of deep connections. Lynch, a jaded con artist, arrives in London with empty pockets, haunted by past mistakes. When he encounters Bobbie, an heiress on her way to rehab, she momentarily confuses him with her missing brother. Sensing both risk and opportunity, Lynch is intrigued. Bobbie's brother, Heydon, vanished five years back, leaving behind a car on a bridge over the Thames in the early morning hours. Although Lynch is disturbed by Bobbie's tale and experiences a rare pang of guilt, he hesitates to get involved. However, after Bobbie departs for rehab, he feels compelled to visit her lavish family home. There, he meets her imposing mother, Miranda, who also notes the uncanny resemblance. Miranda proposes that Lynch impersonate her son as a desperate attempt to uncover his killer. As he steps into Heydon’s life, Lynch finds himself entangled with dangerous forces and realizes too late that Heydon's fears weren’t unfounded.
