Barbie(TM): The World Tour

Following the record-breaking success of Greta Gerwig’s award-winning *Barbie* film, Margot Robbie, both producer and star, collaborated with stylist Andrew Mukamal to dive into some of Barbie's most renowned outfits. They curated vintage pieces and approached designers ranging from Giorgio Armani to Donatella Versace to craft ensembles inspired by the original doll-sized creations. Although the official press tour for *Barbie* was abbreviated, leaving many looks unseen, Margot and Andrew partnered with esteemed fashion photographer Craig McDean to capture the curated styles in various iconic locations: Schiaparelli in Los Angeles, Vivienne Westwood in London, and vintage Chanel accessorized with matching Steamline luggage at the airport. These breathtaking photographs are complemented by original Barbie dolls and rare materials from Mattel’s archives, illustrated with designers’ sketches and fitting Polaroids, transformed into expressive collages by Fabien Baron, who directed both the art and production shoots. With commentary by Margot Robbie and Andrew Mukamal, and handwritten notes from designers like Olivier Rousteing and Manolo Blahnik, this distinctive book merges the refined elegance of high fashion with the playful allure of Barbie's universe, celebrating 65 years of the iconic doll's impact on style and imagination.
