Richard Wilkinson has significantly influenced global research, with his contributions translated into ten languages. He began by studying economic history at the London School of Economics, later transitioning to epidemiology. He now holds the title of Professor Emeritus at the University of Nottingham Medical School and serves as an Honorary Professor at University College London.

Kate Pickett, a Senior Lecturer at the University of York, is also a Career Scientist at the National Institute for Health Research. Her academic journey took her from studying physical anthropology at Cambridge to nutritional sciences at Cornell. She furthered her expertise in epidemiology at Berkeley, following which she spent four years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago.
