is a prominent British Evangelical Christian speaker and previously served as the president of The Proclamation Trust. In 1991, he played a key role in establishing the Cornhill Training Course, and before that, he was the Minister at Above Bar Church in Southampton from 1976 until 1991.

Jackman received his education at Downing College, Cambridge, and furthered his theological studies at Trinity College, Bristol, where he learned under the guidance of theologians J. Alec Motyer and J. I. Packer. His early involvement with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) also shaped his career. He authored his first book, "Starting as a Student: A Christian Approach," in 1974 to help students adapt to university life.

His journey took him to Southampton in 1976, where he initially served as an assistant minister at Above Bar Church under Leith Samuel. By 1980, he had become the Senior Minister there. After 15 years of service, he was invited by Dick Lucas to establish the Cornhill Training Course in London, which aims to train evangelical preachers in essential skills such as exegesis and communication within the framework of The Proclamation Trust.

In 2004, Jackman became the president of The Proclamation Trust. Today, he remains active in organizing conferences for preachers, developing distance learning materials, and authoring various works. His contributions include speaking engagements at the Keswick Convention and Word Alive, as well as writing commentaries on books like Judges & Ruth, the Letters of John, and "Let’s Study 1 Corinthians."

Beyond his involvement with The Proclamation Trust, Jackman holds a visiting lecturer position at Oak Hill Theological College in London, focusing on free church ministry. He has also served as the chairman of the 9:38 Committee, a national organization helping individuals explore careers in gospel ministry. Jackman is married to Heather, and together, they have two adult children.
