In 1991, not far from Checkpoint Zulu and about a hundred miles from the Kuwait border, British journalist Thomas Benton encounters Arwood Hobbes, an American private. Although Desert Storm has concluded and peace is officially declared, the two become embroiled in a heated debate over the idea of crossing the nearest border.
