Falling: A Love Story

Eight years ago, Emma Montague decided to break free from the restrictive lifestyle of the English upper class and her not-so-exciting boyfriend by relocating to New York City. There, she quickly achieved success in the finance industry. However, this demanding and ruthless job led her into yet another life she realized she didn't desire. Searching for a change, Emma answered an online advertisement and discovered a small beach cottage available for rent in Westport, Connecticut. Though the cottage required a significant amount of renovation, it was an ideal venture for Emma, given her enthusiasm for interior design and gardening. Emma hoped her landlord, Dominic, would allow her to make the necessary improvements. Dominic, a local handyman with a six-year-old son, appeared to Emma as a project of sorts in his own right. Despite being different from the type of men she usually admired, Dominic's self-assurance, quiet demeanor, and kindness captivated her. As they worked together in the garden, spent time with his son, and engaged in late-night talks, Emma found herself gradually developing feelings for Dominic.
