Professor Towse, recognized as a top cultural economist globally, holds the position of Professor of Economics of Creative Industries at Bournemouth University and is also a Professor Emerita at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Throughout her distinguished career, she has shared her expertise at universities in the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, and Thailand. From 1993 to 2002, she significantly contributed as a Joint Editor to the Journal of Cultural Economics. Her leadership skills were further exemplified during her tenure as President of the Association for Cultural Economics International between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, she is honored as a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
