Romeo Dallaire - sylwetka autora
Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire began his career in the Canadian army in 1964. After his mission as the Force Commander for the UN in Rwanda, he took on roles such as Commander of the 1st Canadian Division and later, Deputy Commander of the Canadian Army. With his promotion to Three-Star General, his career included significant roles like Assistant Deputy Minister for Human Resources-Military within the Ministry of Defence. To this day, he continues to lend his expertise to the Canadian Forces and Veterans' Affairs, focusing on issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. General Dallaire's military service ended in April 2000 when he was medically discharged due to PTSD. At present, he serves as a Special Adviser to the Canadian Government, concentrating on issues related to War-Affected Children and the Prevention of Small Arms Distribution. He is married and has three children.
