Richard Blake is not only a writer but also a broadcaster and teacher residing in Kent with his family, consisting of his wife and daughter. Throughout his career, he has authored six acclaimed historical novels for Hodder & Stoughton. These works include "Conspiracies of Rome" released in 2008, followed by "Terror of Constantinople" in 2009, "Blood of Alexandria" in 2010, "Sword of Damascus" in 2011, "Ghosts of Athens" in 2012, and "Curse of Babylon" in 2013. His novels have been widely translated into several languages such as Spanish, Italian, Greek, Slovak, Hungarian, Indonesian, and Chinese.
In 2015, all these novels were republished by Hodder & Stoughton in two comprehensive volumes titled "Death of Rome Saga 1" and "Death of Rome Saga 2."
Under the pseudonym Sean Gabb, he has written additional novels including "The Column of Phocas" (a historical piece from 2006), "The Churchill Memorandum" (an alternate history thriller from 2011), and the post-apocalyptic science fiction, "The Break," published in 2014. "The Break" earned a nomination for the Prometheus Award and was later acquired by Caffeine Nights, with plans for republication in 2016 under the name Richard Blake. Additionally, another novel titled "The York Deviation," an alternate history fantasy, is anticipated for future publication.
Furthermore, Blake extends his literary endeavors with Endeavour Press. His journey with Endeavour began with the historical novel "Game of Empires" in May 2015, followed by "Death in Ravenna" which came out in August 2016.
