Łukasz Mieszkowski - sylwetka autora
Historian, a graduate of the Institute of History at the University of Warsaw, has been a scholarship holder at the Imre Kertész Kolleg in Jena and the Leibniz Institute of European History in Mainz. At the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences, he is pursuing a doctoral degree with his dissertation titled "Dragons and Lice: Poland in Times of Plague 1918–1922." Mieszkowski is also an accomplished visual artist, specializing in illustration, small architecture, and exhibition design. Among his notable works are the museum and memorial complex at the former Sobibor extermination camp and the Warsaw Ringelblum Archive monument, which is currently under construction. In 2014, his book "Mystical Wound: The Myth of the Tank-Trap in the Warsaw Uprising" was published.
