Helen's work spans poetry, essays, and fiction, with her writings featured in esteemed publications such as The New Yorker and The New York Times, as well as various literary journals and anthologies, including the 2014 anthology "SHORT" by Persea Books. She published her first novel, "Making It: A Novel of Madison Avenue," as an e-book through Gallery/Simon and Schuster in 2013, followed by her debut novel, "What Was Mine," in January 2016. Helen is also both the creator and editor of an upcoming poetry anthology titled "The Traveler's Vade Mecum," which is set to be published this Fall by Red Hen Press. This anthology features contributions from over 80 poets, such as Frank Bidart, David Lehman, and Billy Collins, who were inspired by telegram titles from an 1853 compendium that offers insights into nineteenth-century American life and culture. Helen resides in New York City and Salisbury, Connecticut, and serves on the board of the Scoville Memorial Library, a cherished retreat for book enthusiasts.
