Helen Jacey - sylwetka autora
Dr. Helen Jacey is recognized for her work as a screenwriter, author, and story consultant. In 2010, she released her pioneering book, "The Woman in the Story," which has gained acclaim as a go-to resource for screenwriters aiming to craft compelling female characters. Alongside her book, Helen conducts the seminar "Writing The Heroine's Story," which has been praised as an outstanding screenwriting course, surpassing even the likes of McKee. This seminar has allowed Helen to collaborate with filmmakers globally, including those from countries like Norway, Poland, Australia, the US, Ireland, France, and the UK, where she frequently offers story consultancy and training services for national screen agencies.
In her career as a writer, Helen has worked on projects with numerous producers across the UK, Europe, and the US, such as Gareth Wiley, Harbour Pictures, the BBC, and the UK Film Council. She is currently developing several feature film screenplays for both UK and US producers. With a screenwriting doctorate completed in 2010 and a Master's degree in Screenwriting from the University of the Arts London, Helen also leads the MA in Scriptwriting program at Bournemouth University.
Before transitioning into screenwriting, Helen held a senior position in international aid, where she focused on implementing psychological programs to support vulnerable women and children in Eastern Europe.
