Zbigniew Rau - sylwetka autora

Professor with a habilitated doctorate, completed his law degree at the University of Łódź in 1977. Between 1981 and 1995, he served as a fellow and lecturer at universities in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia. In 1997, he took on the role of head of the Independent Department of Political and Legal Doctrines, and since 2005, he has been leading the Department of Political and Legal Doctrines. His research interests are focused on the political thought of liberalism, particularly the issues surrounding social contract theory and civil society, as well as the communitarian and classical republican revisions of liberalism. He has been the recipient of numerous scientific grants and awards. Additionally, he served as a Senator in the 6th term of the Republic of Poland and has been a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 2005.
