British journalist and comedian, currently serving as the editor for the online platform Full Fact, a respected independent fact-checking organization. Before this role, he was the editorial director of the British edition of BuzzFeed, where he skillfully balanced serious reporting on important matters with crafting completely lighthearted jokes. He has been part of a comedy group, worked in television, and even in Parliament; he also once attempted to start a newspaper, which ended in a spectacular failure. His academic journey took him through studies in archaeology and anthropology, along with history and philosophy of science at Cambridge. Surprisingly, all these fields of study contributed useful insights when he was writing his book, "People. A Brief History of How We F*cked It All Up."
