Taisia Kitaiskaia, a Russian-American poet and writer, has gained recognition for her unique contributions to literature. Her works include "THE NIGHTGOWN AND OTHER POEMS," published by Deep Vellum in 2020, and "LITERARY WITCHES," a 2017 collaboration with artist Katy Horan, which pays tribute to enchanting women writers and was named one of NPR's Best Books of the year. Her literary excellence has been recognized through fellowships awarded by both Yaddo and the James A. Michener Center for Writers, where she earned her MFA in Poetry in 2015. Her poetry and prose have been featured in esteemed journals like Gulf Coast, StoryQuarterly, Fence, Black Warrior Review, Crazyhorse, Pleiades, and Guernica. Beyond journals, her engaging writing has appeared in The Hairpin, Electric Literature, Jezebel, and Bitch Media, and StoryQuarterly recently nominated her work for a Pushcart Prize for the third time.
