Her artwork has been showcased in galleries in both Sydney and Melbourne. She is married and has two children. In 2000, she won an immigration visa lottery, prompting her family's move to Brooklyn, New York, despite not having secured a permanent job beforehand. Initially, she worked as an editor and produced several animated commercials for the British market. Later, she transitioned into illustrating children's books, collaborating with authors and eventually creating her own original books. Her first book for adults, "Missed Connections: Love, Lost & Found" (2011), originated from a blog containing anonymous messages posted online by strangers longing for love.
