Marieke Lucas Rijneveld - sylwetka autora

The writer and poet regarded as one of the most significant talents in Dutch literature was born in 1991 in Nieuwendijk, North Brabant, into a reformed farming family. Currently, he resides in Utrecht, a city that awarded him the C.C.S. Crone creative grant in 2015. Alongside his literary pursuits, he also works on a dairy farm. He has received numerous accolades, including the C. Buddingh’ Prize for his outstanding poetic debut with the collection "Kalfsvlies," the ANV Debutantenprijs for his first novel "The Discomfort of Evening," the International Booker Prize for its English translation, the Ida Gerhard Poetry Prize for his second poetry collection "Phantoommerrie," and both the Prijs de Boon and the F. Bordewijk Prize for his novel "My Little Animal."
