Marek Jędraszewski - sylwetka autora
A Roman Catholic cleric from Poland, distinguished as a professor of theological sciences, serves as the Archbishop of Łódź. Between 1987 and 1996, he was an editor and, starting in 1990, the editor-in-chief of "Przewodnik Katolicki." On May 17, 1997, he was appointed as the auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Poznań and received the titular bishopric of Forum Popilii. He was consecrated as a bishop on June 29, 1997, in Poznań and fulfilled the role of the general vicar for the Poznań archdiocese.
On November 26, 1998, he achieved the position of associate professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Subsequently, on December 7 of the same year, he became the head of the Department of Christian Philosophy at the university's Faculty of Theology. His academic accomplishments were further recognized on January 2, 2002, when he was awarded the title of professor of theological sciences. Finally, on July 11, 2012, he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as the Archbishop of Łódź.
