Standing at about 5'3", I don't often write characters who are tall because I find it challenging to imagine their perspective. Their view of the world is so different, literally from a higher angle—looking at the tops of heads instead of double chins, having ample legroom at the cinema, or buying jeans without needing alterations. On a more serious note, I was born in Doncaster, England. My passion for paper and storytelling eventually shaped my career. It's not as easy as it might seem; though I enjoyed many activities, I didn't end up just watching television and snacking all day. However, that does describe some of my days, but I refrain from telling my mum that's my lifestyle. In truth, television is my absolute favorite pastime. I adore my daughters as well—they're delightful—but they're not yet old enough to read my confession about loving TV.

One of my genuine aspirations is to publish a novel that was once rejected, simply because it contains a joke about cheese that deserves a wider audience. This thought often worries me, as I'm afraid someone else might coincidentally come up with the same joke and share it publicly before I have the chance. It's genuinely a good joke.
