James Kaplan - sylwetka autora
An American author, journalist, and biographer of Jewish descent, he was born in New York City to parents named Roberta and Robert. He attended Wesleyan University and also pursued painting studies at the New York Studio School. His early career included working at "The New Yorker" magazine, and he later contributed to publications like "Vanity Fair," "Entertainment Weekly," and "Esquire." He is known for writing biographies on figures such as Frank Sinatra and John F. Kennedy. Additionally, he assisted in the creation of autobiographies for Serbian performance artist Marina Abramović and American tennis player John McEnroe. Among his noteworthy book publications are "The Airport: Terminal Nights and Runway Days at John F. Kennedy International" (1994), "Sinatra: The Chairman" (2015), and "Walk Through Walls: A Memoir" (with Marina Abramović, 2016; Polish edition: "Pokonać mur. Wspomnienia," Rebis Publishing, 2018).
