Anna Kalinowska - sylwetka autora

Doctor of Natural Sciences, she led the Center for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development at the University of Warsaw for twenty-five years. As an expert with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), she was named Person of the Year in Polish Ecology in 2002. She is the author of popular science books on environmental protection, including "Ecology - the Choice for the Future" and "Ecology - the Choice for a New Century," as well as novels such as "A Short Leash," children's books like "Summer by the Narew" and "Tickled by Beetle Whiskers," and radio programs. Passionate about travel, she has journeyed solo or with expeditions across all continents, yet she considers her sanctuary on Earth to be Podkowa Leśna, where she resides with her husband and dogs amidst a wild garden.
