Agata Starownik - sylwetka autora

A doctoral candidate within the International PhD Program "Nature – Culture" at the Faculty of "Artes Liberales," she has completed her studies in Polish philology and art history through the Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in the Humanities (MISH) at the University of Warsaw. Additionally, she pursued Postgraduate Varsavian Studies. In 2016, she defended her first master's thesis titled "Between Science and Myth: Poetic Astronomy in Edward Stachura's Works," followed by her second thesis in 2017, "The Mortal King Throughout the Ages: Jesus – God in History in Cyprian Norwid's Album Orbis II." Her research interests are diverse, focusing on the sacred in literature and art, cosmopoetics, and the intersection between literature and astronomy. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Professor Paweł Stępień, which examines astronomical imagery in Jan Kochanowski's "David's Psalter."
