Adam Korczyński - sylwetka autora
A Polish poet from the Enlightenment period is known for his significant works, such as "Wizerunek złocistej przyjaźnią zdrady," written at the end of the 17th century. This piece was critically published by R. Pollak, with S. Saski's collaboration, under the title "Złocista przyjaźnią zdrada" in Kraków in 1949, within the Biblioteka Polska Series, number 89. Unfortunately, the original manuscript housed in the National Library, signature Pol. Q. XIV, 17, was destroyed in 1944, but a copy remains with R. Pollak.
Additionally, the poet authored a collection of epigrams, comprising 159 pieces attached to every part or page of "Złocista przyjaźnią zdrada." A. Brückner included them in the study "Język Wacława Potockiego," published by Rozprawy AU Wydział Filologiczny, volume 31 in 1900, with detailed references on pages 334 and 382. R. Pollak later produced a critical edition in 1950, listed under the Biblioteka Narodowa, series I, number 134, containing 140 epigrams. Pollak also explored these works in a literary analysis titled "Notatki na marginesie utworów A. Korczyńskiego," published in Pamiętniki Literackie, volume 43 in 1952, listing ten additional epigrams. The original manuscript of these epigrams was likewise destroyed in 1944, but Pollak preserved duplicates.
